My Apple Detox Application Developer Postings For Facebook
With the new Facebook design some-what in action, www.new.facebook.com, I am updating the design of my three applications, starting with Apple Detox.
It would already be complete, but I just noticed the new setFBML profile_main parameter required to have a little box on the left hand side of the updated profile. My initial try at a ‘Tab’ [...]
The Facebook platform is beta testing a new web-page design look for everything. People can check this out by placing a ‘new’ in the usual URL path -> ‘http://www.new.facebook.com/’
With new api calls, application widths, profile tabs, and more!… I am going to go through my three applications and re-update them. Starting with Apple Detox since [...]
A red delicious apple is preferred for the Apple Detox. The red delicious has the simplest apple flavor, so that after eating twenty-some apples on day one and two, you can still eat more on day three. Alot of apples. Red delicious are high in antioxidants compared to other apples. (Noted in Science Daily.)
The peels are also loaded with healthy goodness, but might [...]
Yesterday I added my ‘In-Games’ news feed to the Apple Detox application. A game focused version of the overall Facebook news feed. Right now it only shows a person their own game actions, and that of friends actions to them.
The more advanced Facebook trick of including friends actions to other people also your friend might [...]

Apple [...]
Facebook is trying to put an end to forced application invites. Starting with a new reporting link that appears on the multi-friend selector invites. I don’t have forced invites on my two small apps, but I can see why some developers used that method to have massive growth.

Back to my own apple detox app I am [...]
Finally Facebook seems to have done a tiny bit about their own time-out issues.
Each FQL call to the Facebook servers was probably queued up in order of arrival, so if my page did 2 fql calls it had to wait in line twice before it tried to render the page… which would usually timeout more [...]
School is back in session and it looks like the Facebook usage is back up.
I just noticed that my apps create a link under the profile picture if the person has the application installed. This is the Facebook profile-action button. Mine were broken. I was missing the final slash / in the url ->
$profile_action = <fb:profile-action [...]
The Faceook developer stats are always touch-and-go, but it looks like the Apple Detox is up to about 40 users. I am hoping it attracts a different crowd than for Psychic Connection, then maybe the two applications will have some cross-over traffic. Hopefully if you like the one you will give the other one at least a [...]
Last week I submitted a new application to the Facebook Directory. It is my Apple Detox application.
I tried to combine two ideas into one; the first being the official Apple Detox system and accompanying information, the other being an apple game that fits in with the FaceBook atmosphere.
The Apple Detox System
This section allows users to record [...]
