Knife of Dreams by Robert Jordan
Series: Book Eleven of The Wheel Of Time
Rating: 4/5
Writing Style: Pretty good, but not amazing.
Summary: A regular fantasy adventure series; quests, heroes, villains, magic.
Comments: A much better book than Wheel-Of-Time Book 10. Books 8 and 9 lost my interest in the series completely so I took some years off before caring to go back. I barely made it through the book 10 story about different styles of clothing. Ouch. But this book finally returned to how the series started. More action. Some more villains, not too many. Some clothing descriptions, but a normal amount. At least the book covered battles, magic, relationships, …
My personal grief is that the main hero character is becoming so ruined before the grand finale. I hope the author really performs a one-of-a-kind major healing on him to finish off super charged. After this book I am starting to think his friends will have to carry him in on a stretcher, half his body missing, babbling to voices on he can hear… Not much of a savior there.
They should also break the Dark seals already and have the main villain around for a couple books. Don’t hide him away until the last chapter of the last book after talking on and on about how powerful and evil he is for eleven giant books already.
