The UFC 85 fight cards looks pretty wimpy, no Chuck Liddell crushes Rashad Evans fight. What’s left is the older recovering favorites all have to win to remain above the new fighters.

Matt Hughes Vs. Thiago Alves

Kind of a no risk fight here. A setting star versus a rising star fight doesn’t change ranks too much. Hopefully Matt wins and Thiago learns some things for his next fight.

Michael Bisping Vs. Jason Day

I would probably cheer for Jason day, except that Bisping looked pretty good in his last fight. Finally Michael Bisping looked like an elite fighter, not a reality show celebrity.

Marcus Davis Vs. Mike Swick

Mike Swick has been having some tough times lately. Hopefully he can submit Marcus in the first round with a Swickotine.

Fabricio Werdum Vs. Brandon Vera

Brandon Vera should still drop down to 205lbs, beat Keith Jardine or Forrest Griffin, and be an instant top contender. Better off fighting Chuck Liddell than Fabricio Werdum.

No personal favorites in the other fights. UFC 85 is kinda low budget.
