The Cosmic Serpent by Jeremy Narby

Full Title: The Cosmic Serpent – DNA – and the Origins of Knowledge by Jeremy Narby

Rating: 4/5

Writing Style: Entertaining, but the style or tone of the book feels desperate… like the ignored street person shouting at people walking by to pay attention.

Summary: ‘… a personal adventure, … look at how intelligence and consciousness may come into being. ‘

Comments: Again I’m not sure if I liked the presentation of the book, but the ideas contained are great. Maybe DNA fell from space… (I’m going with the SETI idea that our DNA hitched a ride from Mars, odds favor that. But where did Mars DNA come from?) , or ancient myths on dragons and twin serpents are another way to describe DNA, or that DNA emits and can receive light messages, … leading possibly to a person communicating with DNA, a DNA light based consciousness. Pretty cool ideas there. No wonder the speakers at the Burning Man lecture series say to read this book. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but well worth it.

Right away I am looking for another of his books -> ‘Intelligence in Nature – An Inquiry into Knowledge’
