Testing a Facebook Application

Slowly I am working through a small Facebook application. Going through the development process should force me to learn a few new tricks.

First I completed all the “Getting Started”steps in the beginner Facebook Developer section.

Googled and studied up on a number of CSS websites.  I like ParticleTree.

Started working with PHP Designer 2007 personal edition.

Near the end I will try to sign up with this FaceBook Exchange website.

Being on a self-hosted wordpress install I already have the basic steps in place; web-host, php, mysql, etc…

I am still using GIMP for photo-editing.

And the work continues on… phew.

I find it funny how so many tutorial web-sites show you how to make a “Hello World” application. They should at least make the Hello world a .jpg file stored in a mysql database with an indexed counter showing how many times it has been displayed. Put a little meat on your tutorial.
