Anderson Silva beats Thales Leites

Anderson Silva is a great fighter, but personality wise is starting to look pretty lame. Anderson dominated the fight, but for the last three rounds played it safe and won by decision. My vote is for Dana White to show him all the old tapes of Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski… they only fought to win matches… boring champions… and they are now gone from the UFC.

Chuck Liddell knocked out by Mauricio Rua

Mauricio looked way better this fight. Chuck looked good to, but keeps getting knocked out. Ouch. Maybe Chuck should get to fight Anderson Silva.

Cheick Kongo dominates Antoni Hardonk

This fight was a good mma style battle. Cheick is a level better than Antoni and it showed. I am hoping Dana gets the UFC show going in France, then Cheick can fight Brock Lesnar for the belt. Awesome.

Jason MacDonald loses Nate Quarry – not on pay-per-view

Jason lost and it wasn’t even on tv…. it was even a short 1 round fight… maybe for an extra ten bucks you should be able to buy all the fights.

David Loiseau loses to Ed Herman – not on pay-per-view

It would have been nice to see David’s comeback UFC fight…. is he gone now again?

So for me UFC 97 would have been better just by showing those extra fights. That would have helped make up for the weird Anderson Silva fight. They could have stopped that fight after three rounds and gave him a decision win to save everyone from two more annoying rounds.
