Results for UFC 100
UFC 100 was pretty good. It’s too bad that when a title fight goes to a full 5 round decision it takes up so much precious tv air time… it would have been great to see those undercard fight wins by early submissions.
Brock Lesnar beats Frank Mir
Brock sure doesn’t fit the high skilled, well rounded, master of all areas fighter profile the UFC likes to brag about. Brock’s really really big… lays on you like a boring wrestler… and punches you in the face to win. I am cheering for him to keep winning, but he is sort of a mixed bag kind of guy. The crazy after fight trash talk plus interview comments left me kind of stunned. Frank Mir could be starting his downward spiral part of his career now…
Georges St-Pierre beats Thiago Alves
GSP was better than Thiago and deserved the win. It would still be nice if they could end this fight after three rounds. If the defending champ is up in round scores three to zero and is dominating the fight… the fight can be stopped by the judges. Thiago looked OK as a striker, but weird that he could get so far in the UFC with mo ground attack game.
Dan Henderson knocks out Michael Bisping
Michael still has some training to do if he gets knocked out by Dan Henderson’s one move. It was a great highlight reel stunner knockout punch though.
Mark Coleman beats Stephan Bonnar
Not on pay-per-view… but went to decision according to the UFC website so it was probably boring.
Jon Jones beats Jake O’Brien
Not on pay-per-view… but an most likely an entertaining win by Jon Jones.
So again the overall show was pretty good, but I would have wanted to see the Jon Jones fight to call UFC 100 a great show.
