| A red delicious apple is preferred for the Apple Detox. The red delicious has the simplest apple flavor, so that after eating twenty-some apples on day one and two, you can still eat more on day three. Alot of apples. Red delicious are high in antioxidants compared to other apples. (Noted in Science Daily.) |

The peels are also loaded with healthy goodness, but might be finely coated in chemicals. Best to peel them all, or grow your own fresh. The applea are rich in pectin, low in fat, 53 calories, etc… full nutrition data for a single raw peeled apple is here. Including a caloric ratio pyramid.The red delicious is cheap money-wise. Little effort baking each meal for three days. (Just peel.) And you can compost the peels/cores.
