Comments: This book was published in 1969 and most of it holds up pretty well, but a few minor parts come across feeling dated. (A villain demands payment of a million dollars…) It is fun to read any story by a master creative writer. To be able to get this story along with the Eye of Cat in a combo-book is perfect. Next I am going to have to review the Amber novels to find out which one I stopped with. I was forced to quit since I couldn’t find the next book anywhere, but maybe there’s a chance now… it looks like a giant compiled book of all the Amber novels is available now.
