How To Build a Mind

- Toward Machines with Imagination -

Author: Igor Aleksander

Rating: 4/5

Inside Jacket Snippet: ‘… how the latest work with artificial neural systems suggests that an artificial form of consciousness is possible but also that its design would clarify many of the puzzles surrounding the murky concept consciousness itself. …’

Comments: I really enjoyed the book for good reasons; fun presentation style, interesting subject matter, well informed leading edge author, overall very well written. I stopped from the full 5/5 rating because I’m guessing most readers, including me, still want Skynet-like advanced intelligence right now. That probably shouldn’t be a factor… ,but it is. I will still definitely search out his newest book ‘The World in My Mind, My Mind In The World’.

This Open Source neural net project looks neat here.
