Half Marathon Before

Picked up my pre-race package for the half marathon event this weekend.

My timer chip test failed so at first I was in the official system as bib 1703 (not 1702 for myself). 1703 is for someone named Donna.

So now after the race I will check/compare with her time to see what would have happened without the chip correction. She is in the same half marathon so only the time should be different. (Not the 10k or full run.)

I’m guessing she is one of those really small light female runners that sprint right from the beginning. They should have to wear backpacks. Or at least break down the age groups also into weight classes like the UFC. How can a 170 lbs defeat a 100 lbs person in running? No way.

Or she could be a half marathon walker… finish in three hours. Then my co-runners would check my time and never believe the mistake. Say it was all the pies that slowed my time, not the fake chip timer switch story…
